Thompson & Associates, P.C.’s collection division was founded in 2007 to provide innovative, full service recovery and litigation services. At Thompson & Associates P.C., we take a very selective approach to bringing on new clients. Phillip M. Thompson, Esquire, President & Managing Attorney

Background:

Mr. Thompson is an attorney and for 10 years and he has been actively engaged in the representation of creditors.  Mr. Thompson began his collection career in 1999 at one of the nation’s most respected collection law firms, Zwicker & Associates, P.C.  While at Zwicker & Associates, P.C.  Mr. Thompson represented various clients such as:  American Express, Peoples Bank, The Education Resources Institute, Capital One, Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority, Sallie Mae and the list goes on.  In addition to overseeing operations, compliance and addressing consumer complaint, Mr. Thompson litigated several hundred complex collection cases.  Mr. Thompson played the an integral role in the selection of Thompson & Associates, P.C. computer recovery system, AdvantEdge, which ensures the most efficient recovery, compliance with the clients’ audit requirements, and regulatory requirements. He brings extensive knowledge and unparalleled experience in the areas of creditor rights, contract litigation, high volume operations, and computerized practices. His firm is noted for its record in achieving unprecedented recoveries for its clientele.

Steven B. Taylor, Vice-President of Business Development & Marketing

Background:

Mr. Taylor has many years in the credit collection industry.  His experience encompasses Operations, Management, Sales and Marketing experience and brings a stellar record of high performance and achievements throughout his career.  Mr. Taylor started his career with Thompson & Associates in 2007 and has since then demonstrated the ability to address our clients’ concerns while advancing the overall objectives of this firm.  In additional to his exceptional work ethic and client dedication, Mr. Taylor offers the following:

David Whittlesey, Director of Operations

Mr. Whittlesey began his collection career with American Creditors Bureau in 1988.  He was served as a manager for Valentine & Kebartas, Assistant General Manager for Capital Credit Corporation, and owner of David Taylor & Associates.  As Operations Manager for FH Cann and Associates, he brought the company from five collectors and 10k in fee to over 20 collectors and 120k in fee his first year.  He has 18 years Management including 10 years operations management experience in bank card, purchased debt, Payday loan, Student loan, and telecom paper.  He currently serves as the Director of Operations for Thompson & Associates, P.C.
